Below is a typical drum
washer which was manufactured for a pharmaceutical company. The
washer is all stainless steel construction, with stainless pumps
and blowers as well. Steam heat for the tanks was utilized,
with electric heat for the drier. Three stages performed the
required functions, Wash - Rinse - Heated Dry. Drums are loaded
upside down, with the lids set into fixtures between. This machine
was also required to pass through a corridor which measured
8'-0" x 8'-0". Fabrication was a challenge, as the
washer, including the rotating table, is flanged and bolted where
necessary to fit. The load and unload stations are together in the
same place, and can be done by the same worker.
This really turned out to
be a nice little washer, and the customer is very pleased with
it's performance!
