This is a 5-stage overhead monorail washer designed and manufactured as part of a painting line for Delphi Automotive Systems. The machine was fabricated entirely from type 304 stainless steel. This unit included an iron phosphate stage for treating shock absorber tubes prior to a powder coat paint process. Also included were misting nozzles throughout the machine. This was done so that if there was a conveyor shutdown somewhere on the line, the parts would be misted to avoid flash rust. Tank temperatures were critical for the processes involved. Therefore, gas burners were chosen, with modulating controls that maintained the temperature within +/- 2 deg.F
